Beads and Threads

In 2005, after working together for several years with the Portland (Oregon) Bead Society, Toni McCarthy and Elizabeth Plam decided to form Beads & Threads, A Gallery of Personal Adornments that showcases a collection of beautiful pieces of wearable art. Beaded jewelry and fiber arts define their niche.

You will find strung and woven beads, knitted and crocheted accessories, felted pins and purses embellished with beads, and some pieces that have a little bit of all of that. You can see us together at Jewelry "Trunk Shows" in June and December at Beads at Dusti Creek in Portland, Oregon; at Art & Elegance in Beads in May at the Portland Convention Center; and at a few art fairs in the summer. Portland Bead Society

The Portland Bead Society is a very active and growing society with over 500 members from all around the Northwest (and farther) but mainly the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area.

Home of the original Bead Blanket Tray, Bead Dancing offers free projects, galleries, and links to other beady sites.

Sunfluer's Jewelry Designs

An eclectic collection of finely handcrafted jewelry created bead by bead. A varied assortment of bracelets, earrings, necklaces, bookmarks and wine stem charms featuring gemstones, Swarvoski crystals, artist created lampwork glass beads and precious metals of chains and/or wire.
